Lewisboro Government
Lewisboro is governed by a Town Board comprised of a Supervisor and 4 Council members. The Supervisor serves a 2-year term and each Council member is elected to serve a 4-year term. Other elected positions for the Town are the Town Clerk, the Receiver of Taxes, 2 Town Justices and the Highway Superintendent (all serve for 4-year terms).

Planning Board Meetings
Any subdivision of property must be reviewed and approved by the Planning Board. This Board is responsible for reviewing site plans for new commercial and single and multifamily residential buildings. The five board members are appointed to five-year terms by the Town Board. Zoning Board of Appeals Meetings
The board meets as needed at the Town House. Variances to the town's Zoning Ordinance are granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Members are appointed to a five-year term by the Town Board. The office phone number is 763-3822.

Elections

Town officials are elected on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The Town Supervisor is elected for a 2-year term in odd-numbered years. The Town Board Members are elected for 4-year terms. At least two Town Board Members are up for election every two years.

About Election Inspectors
Election inspectors are always needed. To be eligible you need only be a registered voter in the County. The Board of Elections conducts mandatory training classes. Inspectors are paid for training and for working at the polls.

Voter Registration Information
Voters must be 18 years of age on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, and have lived at their present address for at least 30 days before the election. Voters must not have been in jail or on parole for a felony conviction or have claimed the right to vote in another jurisdiction. To registration to vote fill out the attached form and mail it to the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, White Plains, NY 10601.
